Terms of Use

VeryCrowded is currently operated as an early-stage Singapore pilot under the name "VeryCrowded" ("Operator", "we", "us", "our"). We will update these terms when a registered legal entity is formed.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VeryCrowded website and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using VeryCrowded, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

VeryCrowded is a discovery platform that helps people find nearby local promos, business listings, and short-lived community updates ("Spots") on a map and feed. VeryCrowded is not the seller or merchant for promos listed on the platform, and is not the author or verifier of user-posted Spots.

Promos, prices, availability, and business details are posted by businesses or their representatives. We do not guarantee that any promo is accurate, current, available, or redeemable. You should verify offer details directly with the business before visiting or purchasing.

Spots are informal, time-limited updates posted by users (for example queues, crowds, or events noticed nearby). They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not rely on a Spot as safety, legal, or commercial advice. Verify important information yourself.

If you use Spot Nearby, you may post a time-limited local update that can include text, an optional photo, a map pin, and a display nickname. By posting a Spot, you agree to the following in addition to the rest of these Terms.

• You must use a verified account and choose a Spot nickname before posting. Nicknames are intended to be permanent for the pilot and are shown on your Spots instead of your email.
• You are responsible for what you post. Only upload photos you took or have permission to share. Do not include other people's faces or private details without consent where required by law.
• Spots must be lawful, honest, and relevant to a real local situation. Do not post spam, ads, hate speech, harassment, sexual content, dangerous instructions, or misleading locations.
• Spots expire automatically after the duration you select. We may remove, hide, or reject Spots or photos at any time (including before expiry), especially while content is pending review or if it is reported or violates these Terms.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and moderate your Spot content solely to operate, promote, and improve the Service. You retain ownership of your content subject to this licence.
• We may apply rate limits, trust rules, and automated or manual moderation. Approval of a photo or Spot is not an endorsement of its accuracy.

• Provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account, including Spots you post.
• Do not share your account or use the Service on behalf of others without permission.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the platform.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purposes.
• Scrape, crawl, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by law.
• Harass, abuse, or impersonate others.
• Submit false or malicious reports, feedback, or Spots.
• Attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or access controls.
• Interfere with the normal operation of the Service.

When you enable location on your device, the Service may use approximate location to show promos, Spots, and listings near you. Location use is optional for some features but improves nearby discovery. See our Privacy Policy for how location data is handled.

If you save promos or interact with listings (for example views, shares, directions, calls, or website clicks), we may process that activity to operate the Service and understand usage. See our Privacy Policy for details.

You may report promos or Spots you believe are misleading or inappropriate. We may review, reject, edit requests, remove content, or suspend users or businesses at our discretion to keep the platform useful and safe. We are not obligated to monitor all content.

The Service may link to or integrate with third parties, including maps, directions, phone dialling, external websites, hosting providers, authentication, email delivery, security verification, and database services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or for businesses you contact or visit offline.

VeryCrowded's name, branding, software, design, and content we create are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or misuse our brand or Service except as allowed by these Terms. Your Spot content remains yours, subject to the licence in Section 4.

Disputes about a product, service, price, refund, or in-store experience are between you and the relevant business. VeryCrowded is not a party to those transactions. We may help by moderating listings but do not adjudicate consumer–merchant disputes.

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis for PMF-stage pilot use. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, specific search results, footfall, sales, or business outcomes. User-posted Spots are not verified by us.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any promo, Spot, or listing. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) SGD 100 or (b) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim, if any. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, limits apply to the maximum extent permitted.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your Spot or other content you submit, or violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our wilful misconduct.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective may constitute acceptance of the updated Terms, subject to any additional steps we implement in the product.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. You agree that the courts of Singapore have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
